MCIS ZURICH Insurance is a composite conventional insurance provider, a merger between MCIS Insurance Berhad and ZURICH Insurance (M) Berhad, a subsidiary of ZURICH Financial Services Group.
1. Database Administrator (Selangor - Petaling Jaya)
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for administering and maintaining a variety of database systems including Oracle and MS SQL to ensure their performance, data integrity, availability and security.
* To provide database support including database design, and database query optimization for project teams, and application development & maintenance teams.
* Evaluation, selection, installation, configuration, patching, upgrading and maitaining database hardware and software (Oracle and SQL Server) and other database related products.
* Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
* Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
* Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
* To perform other assignments / tasks as per instruction from immediate superior / Head of Dept.
Requirements:
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent.
* At least 3 years working experience in application development and database environment.
* Experience in data warehouse and business intelligence applications deployment and / or OLAP development.
* Knowledge of and experience using one of the leading market ETL, data modelling and design tools.
* Those with certification in related database or data warehouse technologies and / or Certification in Life or General Insurance i.e. LOMA, DMII etc is an addedd advantage.
2. Asst. Manager Corporate & Branding Strategy (Selangor - Petaling Jaya)
Responsibilities:
Incumbent shall report to Head, Corporate Strategy & Branding (CSB) and assist to
- draft strategy and corporate planning papers, presentations etc.
- provide confidential executive level support to the CEO and coordinate the administrative functions within the office of the CEO
- draft / edit reports, speeches, presentations and other documents
- assist the CEO in the timely management of all communication both written and via telephone, email, compose letters independently and monitoring follow up with all distributions that require answers, responses and written replies
- undertake any other assignments as instructed by Head CSB and CEO via Head CSB
- demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, initiative and independence in supporting the dept.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline
- Min 2 - 3 years experience, preferably in insurance or financial services environment
- Meticulous with good written and communication skills in Malay and English
