- Financial Analysts (2 positions);
- Manager Capital Allocation;
- Senior Manager Strategy & Analysis; and
- Senior Manager Business Development.
FINANCIAL ANALYST (GRADE E3 / E4)

The role of the Financial Analyst is to provide a strong commercial capability for the business and to support senior management in strategic decision making.
The Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of analytical tasks, including but not limited to:
- Financial evaluation of capital expenditure proposals or acquisition opportunities;
- Modelling & forecasting the medium to long-term financial outlook for SEB; and
- Undertaking scenario analysis to assess the impact of both internal strategic decisions and the external environment on SEB’s financial position.
This full-time role is ideally suited to a mid-level professional. However, we will consider junior applicants prodded they can demonstrate an ability to learn quickly.
Demonstrated experience in an analytical role would be well regarded, especially financial modelling but also other quantitative backgrounds such as engineering or mathematics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also desirable.
MANAGER CAPITAL ALLOCATION (GRADE E5)

The role of the Manager Capital Allocation is to coordinate the development of capital investment projects in SEB, ensuring that our capital expenditure is prioritised and aligned to SEB’s strategy. The Manager Capital Allocation is also responsible for coordinating technical planning across SEB. This position will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to work on a range of large-scale investments in generation, transmission & distribution infrastructure.
The core responsibilities undertaken by the Manager Capital Allocation will include: developing and implementing a robust capital allocation & coordination framework for SEB: meeting regularly with the areas of the business that have significant capital investment programs: developing guidelines for business cases and project evaluation; and facilitating meetings between SEB’s technical planning teams.
Asa member of the management team, the successful applicant must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. They will also be expected to oversee the ongoing development of their team and ensure that viable successors are identified and developed.
Demonstrated experience in an engineering role relating to power generation (hydro and thermal), transmission or distribution is essential. Commercial skills (for example, a MBA) would be well regarded. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are also desirable.
SENIOR MANAGER STRATEGY & ANALYSIS (GRADE E6 / E7)

The role of the Senior Manager Strategy & Analysis is to provide a financial/commercial advisory capability to assist the strategic decision making of SEB’s executive management team and CEO. The core responsibilities of the Senior Manager Strategy & Analysis will include: coordinating SEB’s strategic planning processes, including the development of a strategic plan & Group KPIs; overseeing SEB’s capital allocation & coordination processes; conducting an ‘environmental scan’ to identify risks & opportunities for SEB; and overseeing the financial analysis team to ensure that analytical work is consistent and robust. In addition, the Senior Manager will be required to undertake special projects or assignments on an ad-hoc basis.
As a senior member of the management team, the successful applicant must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. They will also be expected to oversee the ongoing development of their team and ensure that viable successors are identified and developed.
This full-time position is suitable for a senior-level professional, although less experienced candidates with high potential may also be considered. Demonstrated experience at a senior level in a planning/ strategic/analytical role, particularly in the electricity industry, would be well regarded. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are also necessary to successfully fulfil the requirements of this position.
SENIOR MANAGER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (GRADE SG1)

The Role of the Senior Manager Business Development is to develop and execute growth opportunities for SEB, at the regional, national and international level. The core responsibilities of the Senior Manager BD will include: research into new business development opportunities; development of SEB’s regional & international growth strategy; play leading role in acquisitions & disposals; identify potential new customers, and build and maintain relationships with these customers; and play a leading role in commercial negotiations (such as for Power Purchase Agreements). The Senior Manager BD will also work closely with SEB’s corporate finance team on SEB’s funding strategy.
This full-time position is suitable for a senior-level professional. As a senior member of the management team, the successful applicant must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. Demonstrated experience at a senior level in a business development role, particularly in the electricity industry. would be well regarded. Experience in leading corporate funding exercises an a commercial negotiation is also desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are also necessary to successfully fulfil the requirements of this position.
